Interested in purchasing Toxic: A Black Woman’s Story?
You’re in good company. Organizations throughout the United States have begun initiating purchase requests for this very special film so they can illuminate the intersection of racism, toxic stress, infant loss, and health inequities in their own communities.
The film and discussion guide are educational tools designed to foster local conversation and connection about the national infant mortality crisis. It is recommended to combine a screening of the film with a discussion immediately following. One person may lead the discussion or two or more individuals may choose to facilitate the discussion together. Regardless of the number of facilitators, it is critical that they are knowledgeable in health equity as it relates to maternal and child health.
All film proceeds will be used to provide healing support resources for families in Cuyahoga County, OH (the county in which this film was created) who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.
